Earthquake Clean Up : On Thursday, February 21, 2008, the town of Wells, Nevada, was struck by a 6.0 magnitude earthquake that damaged an estimated 400-700 homes, the high school and some churches. A big "THANK YOU" to all the Volunteers who have helped out during the Clean Up process: SLC UT Southern Baptist Disaster Relief Members: James and Heather Smith, Laura Swanson, Mark Madison, Joe and Lavell Walker. Nevada Southern Baptist Disaster Relief Members: Adelina Sosa, Margie June Stork. Other volunteers: Lupe Quintero, Wells Baptist Church; Patrick Lindstrom, Spring Creek Baptist Church; NEBA Disaster Relief, Bryan and Michelle Hewett; Pastor & Wife, Assembly of God Pastor. These individuals helped with the feeding and shower units. Justin and Cindy Pearson helped by housing a displaced family and providing child care. Wells Baptist Church members Karla Hartsell (EMT), Lupe Quintero, Adelina Sosa, Carmen Salazar, and Margie June Stork provided witnessing and outreach to various local groups.
